Getting Started
It is absolutely essential that you get started building your business the RIGHT
way. Below you will find a step by step guide as well as a recorded audio ‘Getting Started Right’
Training.
Step
1
Figure Out Your ‘Why’: We all get started in this industry
to generate some additional income, but it’s very empowering to clarify the ‘real’ reasons for
getting involved with this business. What is this additional income going to do for you? How is it
going to better your life or the lives of others?
- Do you want to spend extra time with your family?
- Do you want to help pay for college tuition?
- Do you want to travel the world?
- Do you want the freedom and financial capital to pursue other ventures?
- Do you want to give back to the world in some way?
- Do you want to help change the world and be a part of something bigger than
yourself?
Whatever it is, write it down on paper and hold the intention clear in your mind. This is your
true driving force for creating the freedom, abundance, and success that you’re looking for.
Develop The Mindset Of A Successful Entrepreneur: In this industry, you
WILL be challenged. You will be asked to step outside of your comfort zone, work through fears and
insecurities, push yourself to new heights, and develop an unwavering commitment to your goals. A
true entrepreneur does not run from challenges, they embrace them. Their focus is on GROWTH and
they will do whatever it takes to better themselves.
You must also develop a deep rooted belief in YOURSELF. This posture will be reflected in your
ability to attract people to your business. People follow confident, positive, and motivated
LEADERS, so focus on becoming the person you would want to follow. Also, try to avoid becoming
emotionally attached to the outcome of other people’s actions. When someone decides not to join
your business, do NOT take it personally. When someone does join and never does a darn thing, don’t
let it concern you. Let the belief in your OWN ability to create success for yourself continue to
drive you forward.
Those who are truly successful in this industry are those who are ’servant leaders’. Focus on
how you can help other people achieve success and you will become successful. Lastly, it is
important to have realistic expectations… This is a LONG-TERM commitment of at least 2-5 years. But
if you could generate a lifetime of residual income and freedom after 5 years, would it be worth it
to you? I think it would!
STEP 2
Write Down Your Goals: Start by creating two goals. One for the next 7
days and one for the next 90 days. They should be specific, attainable, and more ‘action-oriented’
than ‘results-oriented’. This means that instead of saying you would like to be making $1,000 a
week within the next 90 days, articulate the action steps you can take each day to make that a
reality. So, for example… ‘I am setting a goal to talk to 10 new people about my business everyday
for the next 7 days’. This way, your goals are more measurable and substantial. What can you
accomplish within the next 7 days? How about the next 90 days? Don’t underestimate yourself! You
have more power than you even realize!
STEP 3
Our business is all about talking with
people:
We talk with people about
the great programs and we talk with people about the amazing work-at-home positions we
offer!
We will teach you our simple system
- Talk to people using a simple
script
- Direct people to a simple message
- Follow-up and enroll them
- Work on Personal Development
GOAL: Expose as many
people as possible in your first 30 days
Create Your Initial Exposure List OR get some leads: On a piece of paper,
create a list of 20-25 people you know. Here are a few ideas to help you…
- 5 people who are entrepreneurial minded
- 5 people who you are the closest to
- 5 people who are skeptical
- 5 people who are on your ‘chicken list’
- Memory Jogger
STEP 4
Now, there is a very simple way to expose the business to your contact list. You don’t need to
make it complicated or try to explain every detail right away, just follow this simple action
plan:
- Setup a Practice
Presentation A fast way to expose people you know and learn how to do a
presentation.
- Send an email to your contacts. Send a short and sweet follow-up
email with www.iboplus.com/youribo# Tell them
you’ll be following up within a day or two.
- Follow Up. Make a follow up phone call within 24-48 hours. Do NOT ask what
they thought… This makes you appear unsure of yourself and you end up giving them control of
the conversation (Unless of course it is your chicken list). Make sure you ask them
what they liked best about it, or what excited them the most. Answer
any questions to the best of your ability…
- Do A 3-Way Call. Tell your contact that you would like to introduce
him or her to your business partner (Do this if possible during the first follow up call).
Don’t give them a chance to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’, just start dialing and call someone in your
upline. This is seriously the SECRET to success in network marketing. Even if you start getting
comfortable answering questions, ALWAYS do a 3 way call. It is third party validation and works
extremely well. They can also answer your prospect’s questions if you don’t know the answer to
them.
- Ask For The Close! If you sense your prospect is very interested and
might be ready to sign up, make sure you ask them directly! Say something like, ‘Is there
anything else you would need to know before you get started?’ Tell them you’ll walk them
through the sign up process (or just get their information then and there). Don’t make the
mistake of never asking for the sale. You’ll start wondering why so many people are interested,
but aren’t making the leap. This is crucial!

scripts to talk to them. Click Here
Step 6
Enroll in the 7 Core
Challenge and begin working on personal
development. Becoming a better person will lead to faster success.
Work With Those Who Are Willing. Work with those are WILLING to put in
the work. Drive and commitment are intrinsic… You cannot force anyone to build a business, it has
to come from them. So don’t waste your time trying to convince anyone to build, just work with
those who ARE committed and keep building yourself. Lock arms with your leaders and work together
to go to the top!
